A 91-year-old Rapid City man is facing a criminal sexual conduct charge following an investigation by the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post into an alleged incident in Milton Township.
According to authorities, troopers began investigating a criminal sexual conduct complaint in October 2025 involving an incident that allegedly occurred on October 24 at the suspect’s residence in Milton Township.
The preliminary investigation indicated that Raymond Erlandson, 91, allegedly inappropriately touched the victim at his home. After the investigation was completed, the case was submitted to the Antrim County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
Prosecutors authorized a charge of Criminal Sexual Conduct, Fourth Degree, a misdemeanor under Michigan law.
Erlandson was arraigned on December 12 in the 86th District Court, where a judge set bond at $5,000 cash surety.
Court records show Erlandson’s next scheduled appearance is December 23 at 11:00 a.m. in Antrim County.
As with all criminal cases, the charge is an allegation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
