With today’s social climate many people are turning to dating apps with the hope of finding their significant other. Most strike out while some fine true love. In the case of one Florida man the apps worked well for him.
So well that he got married. Then he got married again. And finally he got married for a third time to a woman he met on the apps. That’s not the problem.
He got married 3 times without divorcing the other women he was married to! That’s right, Rico Suave, or his legal name of Henry Betsey Jr. met 3 different women off of 3 different apps and married them all in the State of Florida.
Mr. Betsey used Tinder to marry Tonya in November of 2020. He then used Stir to marry Brandy in February of 2022. Finally he used Match.com to marry Michele in November of 2022. Tinder. Stir. Match. Got it (not for person reasons or anything.)
You’re probably like me and wondering how he got caught. Well it turns out his first wife Tonya got suspicious about ol’ boy and looked him up in the county marriage records. That’s when she found out he was married to Michele. Tonya went and reached out to Michele who had no idea she shared a husband with other women. Michele told the police and that’s when his charade came crashing down.
The women accused him of marrying them for financial gains. They say he pushed for shared bank accounts after their weddings. Tonya and Michele got domestic violence protection orders against him while Brandy kicked him out of her house just 5 days into the marriage.
As for his legal troubles? He got sentenced to 2 years of probation, 100 hours of community service, has to undergo a mental health evaluation and have no contact with any of his three wives.
Oh and for one final sentence? He’s banned from social media and dating sites.
