Detroit police were called to what looked like a battlefield early Thursday morning with more than 90 evidence markers scattered across the street at Ewald and Livernois.
The gunfire broke out just after 5:00 a.m. outside a building that police confirmed is used as a biker club. Investigators say they have no history of prior calls at that location.
A man in his 40s who was working as a security guard at the club was shot twice, once in the back and once in the leg. He was rushed to the hospital where he is now listed in stable condition.
Detectives say the the majority of the barrage of gunfire came from outside the club. Evidence also shows shots may have been fired back from inside the building toward the shooter(s).
At this point police have not announced any arrests. They are reviewing ballistic evidence and checking surveillance video to piece together what led up to the incident.
