ROSEVILLE, MI — Early Monday morning, October 13, 2025, at approximately 4:39 a.m., a 36-year-old Roseville man driving a Pontiac G5 rammed a fully marked Roseville Police SUV with an officer inside.
According to police, the male then exited his vehicle armed with a knife. Two nearby officers witnessed the attack and fired their weapons after the suspect refused multiple commands to drop the knife. The suspect was struck and taken to the hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
The officer inside the patrol vehicle sustained minor injuries. The two officers who discharged their firearms were not injured.
The incident occurred just outside the Roseville Police Department on VFW Memorial Drive as several officers were preparing to respond to another call for service.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation. No further information has been released at this time.
