Warren Man To Police “Y’all Ready?” – Opens Door & Points AK-47 Style Rifle At Them

Mt. Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 53-year-old Eddie Clark, of Warren, has been arraigned on multiple serious charges after allegedly pointing an assault-style rifle at police during a domestic incident.

On Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, Warren Police responded to an apartment on a domestic violence call. Officers knocked and announced their presence, when it’s alleged Clark said, “Y’all ready?” before opening the door and pointing an AK47-style rifle at the officers. Police immediately fired shots and retreated from the apartment. Clark eventually surrendered to police.

A search warrant later uncovered the AK47-style rifle with a round in the chamber, and a handgun with the serial number scratched off. The individual who called police was not harmed.

Clark was arraigned on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, before Judge Suzanne Faunce in the 37th District Court on the following charges:

  • Assault with Intent to Murder – Life or any term of years felony
  • Weapons – Firearm Possession by a Prohibited Person – 5-year felony
  • Weapons – Ammunition Possession by a Prohibited Person – 5-year felony
  • Weapons – Firearms – Altering ID Marks – 2-year felony
  • 2 Counts of Felony Firearm – 2-year mandatory consecutive felony each

Clark also faces a Habitual Offender – Fourth Offense Notice, which increases possible sentencing.

Judge Faunce set bond at $1,000,000 cash/surety. A Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. before Judge John M. Chmura.

Prosecutor Lucido said, “Domestic violence incidents represent some of the most dangerous and unpredictable calls our officers face. The presence of firearms only heightens the risk to victims, officers, and the entire community. Our law enforcement partners face these dangers with courage and professionalism every day.”

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office emphasized that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
