Suspect Booked in Oakland County Jail After Prime 7 Homicide

A deadly shooting outside a Commerce Township restaurant left a Howell man dead Sunday night, and investigators say the suspect turned himself in within minutes.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to Prime 7 around 9:38 p.m. after reports of gunfire during a Detroit Lions game watch party. When units arrived, they found Francesk Shkambi, 44, lying on the outdoor patio. Deputies immediately began CPR and life-saving efforts until Commerce Township Fire Department paramedics arrived and took over. Shkambi was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

As deputies secured the scene and searched for the shooter, a 65-year-old Farmington Hills man walked into law enforcement and surrendered roughly 20 minutes after the shooting. According to investigators, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Team took him into custody without incident.

Detectives also recovered what they believe to be the murder weapon — a stolen 9mm handgun. Evidence technicians processed the scene late into the night while homicide investigators interviewed witnesses and collected surveillance footage from the area.

The suspect is currently lodged in the Oakland County Jail, identified as Tonin Pjetri, 65. Booking records show he was taken into custody at 12:55 a.m. Monday. Prosecutors are expected to review the case on Tuesday to determine formal charges.

Prime 7 announced on Facebook that it would remain closed Monday due to a “family emergency” and expects to reopen Tuesday.
