Juvenile Charged After Altercation at Roseville Middle School

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced charges against a juvenile following an incident at Roseville Middle School.

Roseville Police submitted evidence to the prosecutor’s office, which resulted in the following charges:

  • Weapons – Dangerous Weapon – Carrying with Unlawful Intent (5-year felony)
  • Weapons-Free Schools – Possessing a Weapon (93-day misdemeanor)
  • Disturbing the Peace (90-day misdemeanor)

A preliminary hearing was held Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, before Referee Michael Gibbs at the Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center. Despite objections from the prosecutor’s office, Gibbs released the juvenile on a $500 personal bond with house restrictions, no school contact unless approved, and standard bond terms.

The juvenile is a Wayne County resident, and the court ordered the case transferred to Wayne County.

Lucido issued a reminder about responsibility in schools, saying young people must understand the consequences of their actions and speak up when they need help.

The prosecutor’s office also offers an outreach program where Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys visit high schools to explain the criminal justice system, warn about risky decisions, and help students understand how to avoid becoming victims or offenders. Schools interested in hosting a speaker may contact Outreach Coordinator Heather Esposito at (586) 469-5642.

The prosecutor’s office emphasizes that all individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
