West Bloomfield Police Arrest Man Who Kicked In Neighbors Glass Window & Fired Shots Into Their Home

On Monday, November 24, 2025, at approximately 9:30 AM, the West Bloomfield Police Department received a 911 call from a female resident in the 7400 block of Coach Lane. She reported her husband was having a mental health breakdown, was wearing a ballistic vest, and had fired a gun into their neighbors’ home.

Police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival officers encountered the man acting erratically with a firearm in his front yard. Officers used a Taser to subdue the man who was actively resisting officers. The officers were able to retrieve the gun and take him into custody without further incident.

Detectives made the scene to conduct further investigation. It was learned the man had walked across the street to his neighbors’ home. He subsequently broke out a window and began firing several rounds into the home.

People were present inside the home at the time; however, none of the occupants were struck by gunfire nor did they sustain injuries of any kind. The man was transported to the West Bloomfield Police Station where he remains in custody at this time.

This case is currently under investigation by the West Bloomfield Police Department’s Detective Bureau.
