Detroit rapper Baby Smoove was arrested in Miami last week on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 following a late-night traffic stop and is now facing seven felony charges, according to court records and published reports.
The artist, whose real name is Jaelin Deanta Parker, was stopped by Miami Police while driving a bright yellow Lamborghini with heavily tinted windows. Officers reported smelling marijuana and seeing smoke inside the vehicle, which led to further investigation.
Police also observed a handgun under the driver’s seat. Because the firearm was within reach of all occupants and none were legally permitted to possess it, Baby Smoove and two passengers were detained.
A subsequent search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered a loaded Taurus PT809 handgun and a hidden compartment containing suspected controlled substances, including oxycodone, Xanax, and a prescription muscle relaxant. Authorities also recovered a backpack identified by Baby Smoove as his, containing approximately $30,000 in cash, suspected marijuana, THC concentrates, and prescription medication.
As a result, prosecutors filed multiple felony charges, including possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver while armed and carrying a concealed firearm.
According to jail records, Baby Smoove faces the following charges:
- Controlled Substance – Sell / Manufacture / Deliver / Possess with Intent (4 counts)
Suspected oxycodone, Xanax, THC wax - Cannabis – Sell / Manufacture / Deliver / Possess with Intent While Armed
- Prescription Drugs – Sell / Manufacture / Deliver / Altered or Misbranded
- Concealed Firearm – Carrying a Hidden Firearm
Baby Smoove was released from custody after posting bond. The case remains pending, and no public statement has been issued by the artist as of publication.
