MT. CLEMENS, MI — Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that Andrew Logan Williams, 52, of Eastpointe, has been arraigned in Macomb County Circuit Court and will face trial on multiple life-maximum felony charges stemming from the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of a child.
Williams was arraigned on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, before Judge James M. Maceroni. A pretrial conference has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 9 a.m., also before Judge Maceroni.
The case was bound over to circuit court following a preliminary examination on November 26, 2025, before Judge Kathleen Galen at the 38th District Court in Eastpointe. After hearing testimony, Judge Galen found sufficient evidence to bind Williams over on the following charges:
- Two counts of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct
(Person under 13, defendant 17 years or older — punishable by life or any term of years) - Kidnapping
(Punishable by life or any term of years)
A charge of Child Sexually Abusive Activity, a 20-year felony, was dismissed at the conclusion of the preliminary examination.

According to prosecutors, the alleged incident occurred on September 22, 2025, when Williams is accused of taking a 12-year-old child who was walking near his home into his residence, where the child was sexually assaulted. After escaping, the child contacted a neighbor, who then notified the Eastpointe Police Department.
Investigators determined Williams had abandoned his residence and fled Michigan following the incident. He was later located in New York, where he was taken into custody. With assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service, Williams was extradited back to Michigan to face charges.
Williams is currently held without bond at the Macomb County Jail. State records show he is listed as a registrant on the Michigan Sex Offender Registry.
“My office will continue to pursue this case with diligence,” Prosecutor Lucido said. “We are committed to securing justice for the victim and ensuring the safety and protection of all children in our community.”
Williams is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
