Clinton Township Fire Department Brave Cold Temps To Battle 2 Structure Fires December 21

On Sunday, December 21, Platoon 3 responded to two separate structure fires within a matter of hours.

At approximately 7:00 p.m., Truck 1 was first due to an attic fire at a car wash on the south end of the city. Truck 1 advised the first-arriving engine that they would be stretching a line upon arrival as crews worked to bring the fire under control.

After 1:00 a.m., Engine 1 was first due to a fire at a single-family residence. Two occupants were transported by EMS for smoke inhalation. Several pets inside the home did not survive the fire.

The cause of both fires remains under investigation.
