Monroe Man Arrested After Firearm, Drugs Found During Jail Processing

Monroe Police officers arrested a 44-year-old Monroe man Sunday night following reports of firearm-related threats inside a residence on Conant Avenue.

According to the Monroe Police Department, officers responded around 9:27 p.m. on December 21, 2025, to the 300 block of Conant Avenue after receiving information that a man was making threats while armed with a handgun. A witness told police the suspect was seen in the basement holding a firearm and threatening to shoot people. The witness also reported the suspect had discussed shooting people at a church during a phone call and may have been involved in a separate weapons discharge reported several weeks earlier.

Officers located the suspect at the residence and took him into custody without incident. Detectives later executed a search warrant at the home, where a handgun and ammunition were recovered.

During booking at the jail, officers discovered approximately 3.2 grams of crack cocaine on the suspect. Police are seeking charges that include Terroristic Threats, Possession of Cocaine, and Introducing Cocaine into a Correctional Facility.
