Michigan State Police troopers are used to responding to just about anything β but a call involving a missing miniature donkey isnβt exactly routine.

Troopers were dispatched last night to a home in Holly Township after a miniature donkey named Dolly Parton (and no, not that Dolly) wandered away from her pasture after an open gate gave her an opportunity to explore the neighborhood.
MSP Troopers canvassed the area and eventually located Dolly casually strolling along a roadway. She was safely returned to her owners unharmed.

βTroopers assigned to northern Oakland County often find themselves dispatched to locate missing animals in the area,β said F/Lt. Mike Shaw. βWe have located Potato the lost dog, cows along I-75, and now Dolly the miniature donkey. When you join the Michigan State Police, you just donβt know where the day will take you.β
No injuries were reported, and Dolly is back home where she belongs.
