At a January 28, 2026 pre-trial hearing in Oakland County District Court, Judge David Law revoked the bond of Ryan Turner, who is charged with aggravated assault in connection with the case. As a result, Turner is no longer eligible for release and will remain in jail while the case continues.

Turner is now scheduled to return to court on February 18, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. for his next pre-trial hearing. With his bond revoked, he will remain incarcerated until at least that date.

Turner is accused of punching Lloyd Poole, 75, during a confrontation over speeding in a Wixom neighborhood in late December. Prosecutors say the punch caused Poole to fall backward and strike his head on the pavement, leaving him unconscious in the roadway with a serious head injury. Poole remains hospitalized in intensive care following the incident.

Turner had previously been released on a $35,000 bond, which allowed him to post $3,500 for release. That bond is now no longer in effect, and he remains lodged in the Oakland County Jail as the case moves toward its next court date.

The development comes as New Media Detroit has already documented Turner’s prior criminal history, which includes earlier assault-related charges, probation, and unresolved court obligations from more recent cases.
