The Michigan Lottery is rolling out a new high-stakes scratch-off that raises the bar for instant games in the state.
The new $50 instant ticket, titled $8,000,000 Payout, is scheduled to launch March 3 and will give players a chance to win up to $8 million instantly. According to the Lottery, that top prize marks the largest ever offered on a Michigan instant game.
Each $50 ticket comes with 50 chances to win, with prizes ranging from $50 up to the $8 million grand prize. The Lottery says the game is designed to deliver higher prize potential while maintaining the structure players are familiar with in premium scratch-off games.
Beyond player prizes, the game is also expected to deliver significant revenue for retailers statewide. The Lottery estimates the $8,000,000 Payout game will generate more than $29 million in retailer commissions, providing a boost to businesses that sell instant tickets.
Lottery officials also highlighted the continued popularity of instant games. In 2024, players reportedly won nearly $1.8 billion playing scratch-off tickets across Michigan.
The new $50 ticket will be available at authorized Lottery retailers throughout the state beginning March 3.
As always, players are reminded to play responsibly.
