HARRISON TOWNSHIP – Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a string of vehicle break-ins and thefts reported across several Macomb County communities, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.



Investigators say members of the Macomb Auto Theft Squad (MATS) and the Sheriff’s Enforcement Team (SET) apprehended the suspects on March 2 in Harrison Township following an investigation into numerous larcenies from automobiles.
Authorities allege the group targeted unlocked vehicles throughout Harrison Township, Clinton Township, Roseville, and Eastpointe, stealing property left inside the cars. Investigators say stolen debit and credit cards were later used by the suspects to make purchases across the metro Detroit area.
The suspects were identified as:
• Martell Martin, 19, of Detroit
• Nathan Turner, 18, of Roseville
• Rayvion Otto, 18, of Clinton Township
Martin and Turner were arraigned in 42-2 District Court in New Baltimore on charges of first-degree retail fraud, a five-year felony, and conspiracy to commit first-degree retail fraud, also a five-year felony. Authorities allege the suspects were involved in at least one retail theft at a sporting goods store in Chesterfield Township. Both were released on personal bonds.
Charges Filed:
Martell Martin, 19, and Nathan Turner, 18 – 42-2 District Court (New Baltimore):
• Retail Fraud – 1st Degree (5-year felony)
• Conspiracy to Commit Retail Fraud – 1st Degree (5-year felony)
All Three Suspects – 41B District Court (Clinton Township):
• Financial Transaction Device – Stealing or Retaining Without Consent (4-year felony)
• Breaking & Entering a Vehicle to Steal Property $200–$1,000 (1-year misdemeanor)
• Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property $200–$1,000 (1-year misdemeanor)
All three suspects were also arraigned in 41B District Court in Clinton Township on multiple charges, including financial transaction device theft, a four-year felony, along with misdemeanor charges of breaking and entering a vehicle to steal property valued between $200 and $1,000 and receiving and concealing stolen property valued between $200 and $1,000. Each of the suspects was released on personal bonds. Investigators say the case may expand further. According to the sheriff’s office, additional charges involving six more suspects are currently under review by the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
Due to the scope of the investigation, authorities say additional updates are expected as the case develops.
