Former Michigan Football Coach Sherrone Moore Pleads No Contest To Two Misdemeanor Charges, Three Counts Dismissed

Washtenaw County, MI – University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore entered a no contest plea to two misdemeanor charges in court, while three other counts were dismissed as part of the agreement.

According to court proceedings, Moore pleaded no contest to Count 4 – Malicious Use of a Telecommunications Device involving a domestic relationship, a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine plus court costs.

He also pleaded no contest to Count 5 – Trespass, which carries a potential penalty of up to 30 days in jail and/or a $250 fine.

During the hearing, the judge confirmed Moore understood that a no contest plea means he is not contesting the charges, and that for sentencing purposes the court will treat the plea the same as a guilty plea.
