ALL MICHIGAN WALMART STABBING VICTIMS RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL – STATE OFFERING COMPENSATION TO THOSE AFFECTED

All 11 victims of the mass stabbing attack at Walmart in Traverse City have been released from Munson Medical Center. This outcome stands as a true testament to the outstanding work of the medical staff at the facility. While nine victims have been fully discharged, two have been transferred to other medical facilities for continued care.

The State of Michigan is offering assistance through the Michigan Crime Victim Compensation Program, which helps cover out-of-pocket expenses for those affected by the crime. This includes medical costs, lost wages, counseling, and other related expenses.

Importantly, the program is not limited to those who were physically injured. It is also available to individuals who witnessed the crime, were in the vicinity during the incident, are first responders, or were otherwise impacted by the events.

You can apply for Crime Victim Compensation at the link here: https://www.michigan.gov/mdhhs/safety-injury-prev/publicsafety/crimevictims/crime-victim-compensation/applying-for-compensation
