Berrien County Lottery Club Thought They Won $50 On Lottery Game – They won $4.14 Million

Lansing, MI → A two-member lottery club in Southwest Michigan is celebrating a life-changing win after landing a record-breaking $4.14 million jackpot on a Detroit Lions Rush for Riches Fast Cash ticket.

Members of the “126 Lottery Club” bought the winning ticket at American Legion Post 51 in Buchanan. At first, one of the members thought the ticket was worth just $50 — until a scan revealed the truth.

“I bought several Fast Cash tickets that night because the jackpot was so high,” a club member said. “I looked this ticket over and thought it was a $50 winner, but I scanned it to double check. I got a message to file a claim at the Lottery office, so I scanned it on the Michigan Lottery app. I started shaking when $4.14 million came up on my phone screen! Winning this kind of money is life-changing.”

The club later visited Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim the prize. They say the money will go toward building a new home, taking a trip to Disney, and saving for the future.

The win set a new all-time record for Fast Cash games in Michigan. The previous record was set in March 2025, when a Shiawassee County man won a $2.39 million Jackpot Slots Millionaire Fast Cash prize.

Fast Cash games are instant-win tickets printed directly from terminals at lottery retailers. Tickets range from $2 to $30 per play and feed into a shared progressive jackpot that increases with every purchase. The current jackpot total prints on each ticket and can be won at any time. Once it’s hit, a new jackpot immediately begins building again.
