Thomas Encil Blake, 28, of Brownstown, Michigan, has been sentenced to 228 months in prison, nearly 19 years, for producing and receiving child pornography. The U.S. Department of Justice announced.
Investigators say the case began when the father of a 13-year-old girl discovered nude images of an adult male on his daughter’s phone in 2023. That led Homeland Security Investigations to Blake. In February 2024, agents executed a search warrant at his home and uncovered more than 8,000 images and 6,000 videos of child pornography, including material involving toddlers, infants, and even bestiality.
Prosecutors said Blake admitted to downloading and sharing the files. Even more disturbing, Blake admitted to abusing children he was babysitting – as young as 5 and 6 years old – while they were asleep.
U.S. Attorney Jerome F. Gorgon said the crimes were “wicked” and “appalling,” stressing that Blake abused the trust of parents who left their kids in his care. Homeland Security officials vowed to continue targeting predators who exploit children.
