On Thursday, Nov. 27, The Parade Company will host the 2025 America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the annual Turkey Trot running race. The parade will step off at 8:45 a.m. at Woodward and Kirby and proceed south down Woodward toward downtown. The running races begin at 7 a.m. and take place in and around downtown. Woodward detours begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26; Thanksgiving Day reroutes begin at 6 a.m. All roads are expected to be reopened by 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Reroutes are as follows:
4-Woodward Southbound, day before Thanksgiving: From Woodward, to right on West Grand Boulevard, to left on Cass, to left on Grand River, to right on Washington Boulevard, to left on Larned, to left on Woodward, to continue as normal.
4-Woodward Northbound, day before Thanksgiving: From Woodward, around Campus Martius, to right on Michigan Ave., to right on Cass, to right on West Grand Boulevard, to turn around at Brush, to right on Woodward, to continue as normal.
3-Grand River Southbound, Thanksgiving Day: From Grand River, to right on Cass, to lay over on Cass.
3-Grand River Northbound, Thanksgiving Day: Right on Michigan, to right on First, to continue as normal.
4-Woodward Southbound, Thanksgiving Day: From Woodward, to right on West Grand Boulevard, to left on Cass, to left on Times Square, to lay over at Bay 15.
4-Woodward Northbound, Thanksgiving Day: From Times Square, to left on Clifford, to left on Bagley, to right on Cass, to right on West Grand Boulevard, to turn around at John R, to right on Woodward, to continue as normal.
5-Van Dyke and 52-Chene Southbound, Thanksgiving Day: From Lafayette, to right on the I-375 service drive, to south on I-75, to the Grand River exit, to left on Grand River, into Rosa Parks Transit Center.
5-Van Dyke and 52-Chene Northbound, Thanksgiving Day: From Times Square, to left on Clifford, to right on the I-75 service drive, to I-75, to I-375, to the Lafayette exit, to left on Lafayette, to continue as normal.
6-Gratiot Southbound, Thanksgiving Day: From Gratiot, to southbound I-75, to the Grand River exit, to left on Grand River, to right on Cass, to left on Times Square, to lay over on Bay 13.

8-Warren Eastbound, Thanksgiving Day: From Warren, to left on Cass, to right on West Grand Boulevard, to right on John R, to left on Warren, to continue as normal.

9-Jefferson Westbound, Thanksgiving Day: From Jefferson, to right on the I-375 service drive, onto I-375, to I-75 south, to the Grand River exit, to left on Grand River, into Rosa Parks Transit Center.
