Clinton Township Man Arraigned on Armed Robbery Charges in St. Clair Shores

Mt. Clemens, Mich — Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office announced that 47-year-old, Anthony Terrell Patterson of Clinton Township was arraigned this week on multiple felony charges stemming from an alleged armed robbery at a St. Clair Shores business.

According to prosecutors, the incident occurred on Friday, December 12, 2025, at an Advance America location on Harper Avenue in St. Clair Shores. Authorities allege Patterson entered the business, displayed a handgun, ordered two employees and a customer to lie on the ground, and racked the firearm before taking cash from drawers and a cash box. He then fled the scene.

Investigators say the suspect was later identified after the getaway vehicle was linked to his home address.

On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, the defendant was arraigned before Judge Mark A. Fratarcangeli in the 40th District Court on the following charges:

• Two counts of Armed Robbery, each punishable by up to life in prison
• One count of Felonious Assault, a felony punishable by up to 4 years
• Three counts of Felony Firearm, each carrying a mandatory minimum sentence of 2 years, to be served consecutively

Prosecutors also filed a Habitual Offender, Third Offense notice, which enhances potential sentencing.

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Nancy Zieah argued for no bond. However, the court set bond at $1.5 million. If released, the defendant would be required to wear a GPS tether. He remains lodged at the Macomb County Jail.

A Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Joseph Craigen Oster, followed by a Preliminary Examination on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., both at the 40th District Court.

“The allegations in this matter are extremely serious,” said Peter J. Lucido. “Armed robbery is a violent crime that will not be tolerated in Macomb County. My office will pursue this case with the determination it deserves.”

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
