Brian Sutton, 37, appeared Friday in Westland’s 18th District Court for arraignment on a charge of aggravated stalking, according to the Westland Police Department. A judge set his bond at $250,000 cash or surety, ordered a GPS tether, and imposed a no-contact condition with the alleged victim if he is released.

Authorities confirmed Sutton is the same person being investigated in connection with the Feb. 23 vehicle crash at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. However, he has not yet been formally charged in that case.
The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office is currently reviewing a warrant request from Airport Authority Police. Possible charges tied to the airport incident could include OWI, reckless driving, and malicious destruction of property, but no arraignment has been scheduled.
Six people suffered minor injuries when the vehicle struck the terminal. In response, cement barriers have since been placed in front of the doors as a safety precaution.
Police said the alleged stalking incident is unrelated to the airport crash and did not occur on the same day.
