Following an investigation by the Detroit Police Department, prosecutors have charged 34-year-old Joshua Joel-Eli Brown of Detroit in connection with the sexual assault of a five-year-old girl.
Investigators say that on October 30, 2025, around 8:15 p.m., Brown allegedly followed the young victim into the women’s restroom at the McDonald’s in the 6800 block of Michigan Avenue. Once inside, he is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with the child before fleeing the restaurant.
Detroit Police tracked Brown down and arrested him on November 4 after identifying him as the suspect. He has now been charged with Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct (Person Under 13, Defendant 17 Years or Older) by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities remind the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
