The Pistons dropped their second straight game on Sunday night, falling 112–99 to the LA Clippers as their West Coast trip continued.
Detroit struggled to keep pace early, trailing 33–20 after the first quarter, and never fully recovered despite a more competitive middle stretch. Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 27 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds, while Jalen Duren added a strong inside presence with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Jaden Ivey chipped in 11 points off the bench, but overall shooting and defensive consistency proved to be issues as the Clippers maintained control throughout the night.
The loss drops Detroit to 24–9 on the season, with back-to-back defeats now marking a tougher stretch on the road.
The Pistons will look to bounce back Tuesday, the 30th, when they face the Los Angeles Lakers, who enter the matchup at 20–10. Tip-off is set for 10:30 p.m. EST, continuing a challenging West Coast swing.
