The Detroit Chief of Police Todd Bettison said that an officer on the force violated policy when he opened fire on a woman who fled police and attempted to drive away after being “boxed in” by Detroit officers on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
She was shot 6 times, released from the hospital and then remanded to the custody of the Detroit Police Department but Chief Bettison says he ordered her immediate release and said she will NOT face charges. Here is my breaking news report on the new information.
