A now former Detroit Police officer is alleged to have pulled a gun on a woman he shares children with in a parking lot while in uniform.
The Wayne County Prosecutors office says that on January 26th, 31-year-old Justice Calvin allegedly followed the victim, a 26-year-old St. Clair Shores woman to the parking lot of a nursing home on Schaefer Highway on Detroit’s west side.
Once in the parking lot Calvin then allegedly pointed his gun at the victim while dressed in his full Detroit Police Department uniform before forcefully pulling her out of her vehicle and assaulting her.
On August 18th he turned himself into authorities for arraignment in the 36th District Court on the following charges:
– Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
– Felony Firearm
– Larceny from the Person
– Domestic Violence
He was given a $50k personal bond, ordered to wear a tether and have no contact with the woman. He also had to surrender his gun under Michigan’s red flag laws.
His next scheduled court date in a probable cause conference on Aug. 28.
