Former Warren Teacher Sentenced To Probation And Ongoing Treatment In Drug Case

Mount Clemens, MI — Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido has confirmed that former Warren Lincoln High School teacher Christopher Michael Filiccia, 47, has been sentenced for Attempted Possession of Analogues after entering a guilty plea.

On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Jennifer Faunce issued a sentence of six months probation, requiring Filiccia to continue mandatory drug testing, maintain ongoing counseling, and attend AA or NA support meetings. Prosecutors originally charged him with drug possession, but his rehabilitation efforts through treatment and counseling led to a plea agreement accepted by both sides. Judge Faunce acknowledged his progress at sentencing, noting his commitment to recovery.

The case began on December 31, 2024, when Warren Police observed Filiccia pull into the 7-Eleven near 12 Mile Road and Schoenherr. Minutes later, a second vehicle driven by Deangelo Ramone Daniel arrived. Filiccia entered Daniel’s truck, the drug exchange took place, and both men left separately. Officers initiated a traffic stop moments later and recovered the substances Filiccia had just bought.

Prosecutor Lucido issued a statement saying Filiccia’s role as an educator made the charges especially serious, noting that community trust is damaged when those responsible for guiding children make choices like this. He also acknowledged that rehabilitation is underway and appears to be taken seriously.

“The charge brought against Mr. Filiccia was deeply troubling, particularly given his role within the community. One is entrusted with shaping the minds of our youth as a teacher. The impact of his actions fractures the trust within our schools and casts a shadow over our community’s sense of safety. We are happy he is taking his rehabilitation seriously,” Lucido said.
