Just weeks ago, she was in court sobbing and telling the judge that is not the person she is, but now she is beaming from ear to ear as she settles into her new reality in a state prison.

She was trusted to babysit Kyrie on June 13, 2022, and the next morning claimed the toddler had eaten soap and was having an allergic reaction. When his mother rushed home, she found Kyrie on the floor suffering seizure after seizure.
Doctors later determined the truth, severe blunt force trauma to the head. Kyrie was bleeding from his ears, he needed emergency brain surgery, and he died nine days later.

Investigators said she admitted to throwing the toddler against a wall and violently shaking him. She was convicted of felony murder after the child’s death. On November 4, 2025, a Macomb County judge sentenced her to life in prison for felony murder, along with an additional 15 to 40 years for first degree child abuse.
She is now locked away at Michigan’s only women’s prison, surrounded by razor wire and steel bars, spending every day with the consequences of the brutal violence that took Kyrie’s life.
