Hamtramck store sells $250k KENO winner to Wayne County man

A Wayne County man said winning a $250,000 KENO! prize from the Michigan Lottery “feels surreal.”

The lucky 60-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched 10 of the 22 numbers drawn on October 10 to win the game’s $250,000 top prize. His winning numbers were: 01, 08, 11, 15, 16, 22, 45, 47, 66, and 74.

He purchased his winning ticket at Conant-Caniff Market, located at 11303 Conant Street in Hamtramck.

“My wife and I have been playing KENO! for quite a while and we always play the same set of numbers,” the man said. “I gave the ticket to my wife, and she checked it the next day by looking at the numbers on Michigan Lottery. When she realized we had won $250,000 she checked the numbers three more times and then took the ticket to the store to scan it and make sure it was real. We are ecstatic! Winning a prize like this feels surreal.”

The player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to buy a home and save the remainder.
