A sweeping, months-long narcotics investigation spanning multiple counties in Metro Detroit has led to major drug seizures, firearms recovered, and large amounts of cash and valuables confiscated, according to authorities.

The Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team (MNET) began investigating a suspected drug trafficking organization in the summer of 2025. That case reached a major enforcement phase on Feb 11 and Feb 12, 2026, when detectives executed 15 search warrants across Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
During those operations, investigators seized large quantities of narcotics and weapons. Authorities reported recovering more than 5 kilograms of cocaine and 4.6 kilograms of fentanyl, along with smaller amounts of crack cocaine and crystal methamphetamine. Detectives also seized 1,580 oxycodone pills, 574 Xanax pills, and 102 ecstasy pills. In addition, 21 pounds of marijuana and 26 firearms were taken during the searches. Investigators confiscated more than $73,000 in cash and approximately $278,780 worth of jewelry believed to be tied to the trafficking operation, all with intent to forfeit. The investigation remains ongoing.

In a separate but related enforcement effort, the County of Macomb Enforcement Team (COMET) continued an investigation that began during the winter and carried into January. On Feb 13, 2026, COMET executed two search warrants in Detroit that resulted in additional narcotics seizures.
Authorities said detectives recovered more than 300 grams of cocaine and 60 hydrocodone pills. Investigators also seized one vehicle and an undisclosed amount of cash with intent to forfeit. Federal and local agencies assisted in the operation, and that investigation is also ongoing.
Items seized by COMET included:
- Over 300 grams of cocaine
- 60 hydrocodone pills
- One vehicle
- Cash intended for forfeiture (amount not disclosed)
Officials said operations of this scale require extensive coordination between federal and local partners who provide manpower and resources. Both investigations were supported by Byrne JAG grant funding through the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance and administered by the Michigan State Police.
With both cases still active, additional arrests, charges, and seizures could follow as investigators continue working to dismantle drug trafficking networks across the region.
