Chesterfield Township, MI → The ex-wife of rapper Eminem is facing new misdemeanor charges following an alleged crash in Macomb County.
According to court records first obtained by TMZ, Kim Mathers has been charged with:
- Operating While Intoxicated (OWI)
- Failure to Stop or Identify After Causing Property Damage
Both charges are misdemeanors under Michigan law.
What Allegedly Happened
Sources familiar with the incident say the events unfolded around 8:00 PM Monday.
Scott had reportedly left her home with her son, Parker, and three of his friends to go shopping when she allegedly struck a parked vehicle on her street. Authorities allege she did not stop after the collision.
She then allegedly attempted to pull into her driveway, where her Range Rover crashed into a garage door.
A neighbor who reportedly witnessed the incident called police. Scott was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries and was discharged early the following morning.

This is not Scott’s first encounter with the legal system.
February 2026
Charged in Chesterfield Township with OWI and failure to stop after a property damage accident.
October 2015
Arrested for DUI after crashing into a ditch and utility pole. Scott later admitted the crash was a suicide attempt. In 2016, she pleaded no contest to a reduced impaired driving charge and was sentenced to:
- 12 months probation
- $900 in fines
- Mandatory substance abuse testing
January 2004
Sentenced to 30 days in jail and probation for violating probation after testing positive for cocaine. She also completed a 90-day treatment program.
June 2003
Arrested for possession of cocaine and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. Sentenced to two years probation.
July 2001
Arrested for possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).
