Macomb County, MI – A sweeping narcotics operation led by the County of Macomb Enforcement Team (COMET) delivered a major blow to a large-scale drug trafficking network on January 28, 2026, as investigators executed multiple search warrants across Macomb, Wayne and Oakland counties.

After an extended, multi-agency investigation, detectives moved in on several locations connected to the operation. What they uncovered showed just how deep and dangerous the trafficking network had become. Authorities seized 16 firearms, including three that were confirmed stolen, along with massive quantities of deadly and highly addictive drugs that were being pushed into communities across Metro Detroit.
Among the drugs recovered were approximately 1.5 pounds of fentanyl, over one pound of cocaine, bulk marijuana, and 16,422 milliliters of codeine, equal to 34 pints. Investigators also seized more than 1,600 prescription narcotic pills, including oxycodone, Xanax and alprazolam, all drugs that are commonly abused and trafficked on the street.
Financially, the operation was also hit hard. COMET seized more than $37,000 in suspected drug proceeds and one vehicle that investigators intend to forfeit as part of the case. Multiple suspects were taken into custody, and additional warrant requests are being prepared for submission to the prosecutor’s office as the case continues to move forward.
