Man Charged After Allegedly Threatening Student With Pneumatic Gun Inside Warren Cousino High School

A 19-year-old Warren man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly threatening a student with what appeared to be a handgun inside Warren Cousino High School, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that Demarcus Desean Green-Todd, 19, has been charged following an incident that occurred Monday, January 12, 2026.

According to prosecutors, Green-Todd entered the school with the help of a juvenile accomplice who allegedly let him inside. The two reportedly confronted a student victim in a hallway near the athletic department. Prosecutors say the student was pushed into a corner near a men’s restroom, where Green-Todd allegedly pulled out a pneumatic gun that appeared to be a real handgun and pressed the barrel into the student’s stomach.

School surveillance video reportedly captured the incident. Green-Todd was later apprehended by Warren Police Department and admitted to the assault, according to authorities. The juvenile accomplice is also facing charges.

Following the investigation, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office charged Green-Todd with:

  • Assault With a Dangerous Weapon (felony, up to 4 years)
  • Assault and Battery (misdemeanor, up to 93 days)

Green-Todd was arraigned on January 14, 2026, in 37th District Court, where John Chmura set bond at $25,000 cash or surety.

He was remanded into custody with conditions that, if bond is posted, he is prohibited from entering Warren Consolidated Schools, may not possess any weapons, and must have no contact with the victim.
