A man wanted on multiple murder charges out of Detroit was arrested Thursday, January 15, 2026, in Missouri.

Maurice Dealamonte Harris, 20, was taken into custody in Fulton, Missouri, by the U.S. Marshals Service and booked into the Callaway County Jail on a fugitive from justice charge. Authorities say Harris is wanted out of Detroit in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred on November 10, 2025.
Court records show Harris faces multiple felony counts, including:
- Two counts of felony murder
- Two counts of first-degree premeditated murder
- Four counts of felony firearm
Records indicate Harris is one of three co-defendants charged in the case.
Prior court case and supervision history
Separate Michigan court records show Harris also had a prior case pending before the Detroit homicide warrants were issued.
In that earlier case, Harris was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and resisting or obstructing a police officer. Court records show the carrying a concealed weapon charge was later dismissed, while the resisting or obstructing charge continued through the court process.
Harris initially entered a guilty plea in that case. Court records show that on October 1, 2024, a judge granted a motion to withdraw the guilty plea prior to sentencing after Harris was accepted into a Job Court diversion program. Under the diversion program, Harris remained under court supervision and was required to comply with court-ordered conditions and appearances.
Subsequent docket entries show Harris missed multiple required court dates. On January 5, 2026, a judge issued a Failure to Appear order and reset Harris on a $5,000 personal bond without Harris present in court. The bond included conditions prohibiting weapon possession and contact with the victim.
Days later, Harris was located out of state and arrested. He is currently being held without bond pending extradition back to Detroit.
