MICHIGAN BORDER PATROL AGENT FACES ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR SEXUALLY ABUSIVE MATERIAL

We were the first to tell you a few days ago about the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Agent who was arrested and charged in federal court for attempting to solicit a minor for immoral purposes, now we’re here to tell you that the Agent, Harry Peless of Newport is facing more legal trouble.

As it turns out the undercover agent that Peless thought was a 13-year-old girl was an agent posing as the minor child in New Jersey.

The investigation began in September 2024 by the Morris County, New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

Peless is alleged to have engaged in sexually explicit online conversations with the undercover law enforcement officer, whom he believed to be a 13-year-old female child. He also allegedly sent the 13-year-old female explicit videos of himself, and an item of child pornography.

As a result of the investigation, Harry Peless was charged in New Jersey on July 25, 2025 with one count of second degree Attempted Sexual Assault; one count of second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM); one count of third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Sexual Conduct; one count of third degree Obscenity; and one count of fourth degree Attempted Criminal Sexual Conduct.

This is in addition to the federal charges he is facing in Michigan.
