A Michigan attorney is under investigation after allegedly attempting to smuggle drugs to a client at the Central Michigan Correctional Facility, located near Mt. Pleasant.
According to the Michigan Department of Corrections, the incident occurred during an attorney-client visit on Monday, August 4. Staff observed the lawyer handing a package to the inmate, which was later found to contain 211 strips of suspected Suboxone, 68 grams of a brown waxy substance, and 45 grams of white powder.
