A Jackson County, Michigan man is behind bars in Missouri after a chaotic late night incident at a Missouri bar that police say spiraled into a weapons case and multiple criminal charges.

According to a probable cause statement, Warrensburg Police were called to a local bar just after midnight Wednesday, January 28th after staff reported a man had brandished a knife inside the business. Employees told officers that 32-year-old Douglas Matthew Lamb was heavily intoxicated, inappropriately touched people inside the bar, and at one point dropkicked a bathroom door, damaging the property. After being removed from the bar, Lamb allegedly made threats while holding a knife, escalating the situation into a dangerous encounter.
Police later located Lamb sitting inside his parked pickup truck a short distance away. He was taken into custody and questioned. Lamb denied touching anyone and denied threatening anyone with a knife, but officers say his demeanor changed during the interview and he became confrontational as the questioning continued.
Prosecutors have now charged Lamb with felony unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action, along with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and second-degree property damage. He remains locked up in the Johnson County Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
