A tragic incident happened in the northwest part of the state over the weekend when a woman driving drunk with multiple children in her vehicle was involved in a traffic accident, killing a 3-year-old girl in her car and injuring other children.
It happened on Friday, August 8, in Weldon Township, located in Benzie County, about three hours from the metro Detroit area. Police say 25-year-old Shaynel Guthrie of Cadillac failed to stop at an intersection at about 9:00 p.m. She was struck by an 18-year-old woman, who was unharmed.
However, Guthrie had three children in her vehicle. All three were ejected. The 3-year-old girl was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. A 5-year-old child was airlifted to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids after sustaining serious injuries, and a 4-year-old was treated at Munson Medical Center (the hospital where the Traverse City Walmart stabbing victims were transported) and was released.
Authorities suspected and later confirmed that dumbass Guthrie was drunk at the time of the crash. They arrested her and hit her with multiple felonies.

She sits in jail with a half-million bond, and I hope she stays there.
