The Monroe Police Department is investigating a large larceny involving the theft of aluminum rims valued at more than $14,000.
On October 6, 2025, officers were called to Unlimited Truck and Trailer Service Inc. in the 1100 block of E. Noble Avenue for a report of stolen rims. Evidence was collected at the scene, and an investigation began.
On October 17, the department’s Flock Camera System alerted officers that the suspect vehicle linked to the theft had entered the City of Monroe. Officers quickly responded and located the vehicle near E. Elm Avenue and N. Dixie Highway. Flock images showed the suspect’s truck pulling an empty trailer.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and detained the driver, a 30-year-old man from Ohio. The trailer was later located behind a business in the 700 block of N. Dixie Highway. The driver was arrested on multiple driving-related charges and declined to comment on the theft allegations.
Detectives obtained a search warrant and recovered additional evidence linking the suspect to the crime.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective McKenzie at (734) 243-7517 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
