Michigan State Police troopers were called out late Saturday night to a violent felonious domestic assault near North M-10 and West Grand Boulevard. The incident happened around 11:00 PM on September 20th.
According to investigators, the assault started as an argument inside a vehicle. A 44-year-old woman from Orchard Lake allegedly threw a drink and a liquor bottle at the driver, a 40-year-old man from Farmington Hills. Troopers say the man retaliated by pulling out a knife and stabbing her multiple times.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was immediately taken into custody and lodged at the Detroit Detention Center.
Michigan State Police confirmed the case remains under investigation.
