Detroit and Downriver, MI – Michigan State Police Second District narcotics detectives have dismantled a large-scale drug trafficking operation operating across the Detroit and Downriver area following a months-long undercover investigation.
According to MSP Metro Detroit’s narcotics unit, detectives with the Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team (MNET) launched the investigation in the fall of 2025 after identifying what authorities described as a coordinated drug trafficking organization moving large quantities of narcotics through the region.

That investigation culminated on January 22, 2026, when MNET detectives executed six search warrants at multiple locations connected to the organization.
The results of the takedown were significant.
Detectives seized 17 firearms, 834 grams of cocaine, 53 grams of crystal methamphetamine, more than 14 pounds of marijuana, and quantities of MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy. In addition to the drugs and weapons, investigators also seized three vehicles and more than $77,000 in cash, which authorities say was taken with the intent to forfeit as proceeds of drug trafficking.
