FORT GRATIOT TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Three individuals were arrested Monday night following a home invasion that led deputies to a stolen vehicle, stolen firearms, and a multi-agency search effort, authorities said.
Just before 7:00 pm on January 19, St. Clair County Central Dispatch sent deputies to a residence on Pine Ridge Drive after an alarm company reported a residential alarm activation.
When deputies arrived, they found a green Ford Bronco running in the driveway with its doors open. The vehicle was later confirmed to be stolen. Deputies also discovered the front door of the home had been forced open.
A search of the residence did not immediately locate any suspects, but deputies reported hearing individuals moving through nearby woods. Two suspects were later located walking in the area and were taken into custody.
A third suspect was found after a citizen tip led deputies to a local fast-food restaurant, where that individual was also taken into custody.
After the homeowner arrived on scene, it was confirmed that an AK-style rifle and a pistol had been stolen from inside the residence.
All three suspects were transported to the St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center.
