Northville Man Pleads Guilty To Sexual Assault Of Roseville Minor

A 22-year-old Northville man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Roseville.

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, Charles Laurence Willis entered a guilty plea to two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct – Third Degree (Person 13 to 15), a 15-year felony, before Judge Joseph Toia at the Macomb County Circuit Court in Mount Clemens.

Willis will be sentenced on January 22, 2026. As part of his plea, he must register as a Tier III Sex Offender for life, appear in Wyatt’s Law database for child-related offenders, submit to HIV testing, and have no contact with the victim.

Investigators say Willis began dating a 14-year-old Roseville teen in 2023 while pretending to be 16. It was later discovered he was actually 21. Prosecutors say he had multiple sexual encounters with the underage girl.

After being charged in Macomb County, Willis picked up new charges in Wayne County involving another 14-year-old girl. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office successfully moved to increase his bond to keep him in custody.

He faces a separate Wayne County trial on March 30, 2026, for that additional case.

“Today’s guilty plea holds the defendant accountable for engaging in an unlawful sexual relationship with a minor. Protecting young people from exploitation and ensuring adults are held responsible for their choices is essential to the safety and integrity of our community. We remain committed to protecting the vulnerable and upholding the rule of law to keep our communities safe,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
