The owner of a gun shop in Clinton Township is facing felony gun charges after he allegedly fired his gun at a dummy located within his building on Tuesday, May 20th.
On that date, 43-year-old Youshia Pireh allegedly shot a 9mm handgun four times into a mannequin inside his business called GUNS and that the incident was filmed and posted on Facebook.
A tattoo shop is located next door to the business where Pireh fired the handgun and was open for business. Nobody was injured in the incident.
The Macomb County Prosecutor announced that Youshia Pireh is being charged with Weapons – Firearms – Discharge in or at a Building, a 10-year felony and Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony, consecutive to main charge. He has a $25,000 personal bond.
“When guns are used recklessly or without regard for others’ safety, the consequences can be severe and we will respond accordingly. Our office takes any incident that endangers the public seriously, and we are committed to holding individuals accountable when their actions with a firearm put others at risk,” said Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
