Sister And Fiancé Of Missing Woman Face Serious Charges In Wexford County

WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich. — The sister and fiancé of missing 38-weeks-pregnant woman Rebecca Park stood before a judge Wednesday, each facing serious charges connected to the ongoing investigation into her disappearance. Both were taken into custody within the past 24 hours and are now being held on high cash bonds due to what the court determined to be a risk to public safety and a potential flight concern.

KIMBERLY PARK — SISTER OF REBECCA PARK

Kimberly Park faces three criminal charges:

• Tampering with evidence in a criminal case
Felony — up to 10 years in prison and/or $20,000 fine

• Lying to a police officer during a violent crime investigation
Up to 4 years and/or $5,000 fine

• Filing a false report of a felony
Misdemeanor — up to 4 years and/or $2,000 fine

Park was described by the court as both a threat to the community and a flight risk. Her bond was set at $750,000 cash-surety.

Should she be released, she will be placed on GPS-monitored house arrest.

RICHARD LEE FALOR — FIANCÉ OF REBECCA PARK

Falor is facing charges that could put him behind bars for life.

• (2) Counts — Delivery of Methamphetamine
Each count — Up to 20 years in prison + $25,000 fine

Because Falor is a habitual offender with at least three prior felonies, sentencing could escalate to life imprisonment.

Bond was set at $1 million cash, with GPS house arrest ordered if released.

Falor was taken into custody around 9 PM Tuesday, according to jail records.

Park was booked into the Wexford County Jail roughly four hours later at 1 AM Wednesday.

THE SEARCH FOR REBECCA PARK

On Tuesday, November 25, a body resembling Park was discovered by search teams in the Manistee National Forest in Boon Township. Authorities have not confirmed identity and will wait for autopsy results before officially ruling. It is also not yet known whether the infant she was carrying was present or accounted for.

Rebecca Park was last seen November 3, getting into a vehicle. She was approximately 38 weeks pregnant.

FAMILY RESPONSE

Rebecca’s adoptive mother, Stephanie Park, spoke through heartbreak:

“I’m heartbroken, crushed. I have to remain strong. I have three children, little bitties that do not understand any of it.

We have been, as a family, preparing for this outcome. Not quite as gruesome as this outcome. But preparing for this outcome.”
