Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison has confirmed that two adults are currently in custody in connection with the disappearance and death of 15-year-old Lawrence Dowl.
Dowl went missing last week after leaving his home and getting into a vehicle with a friend. He never returned and his family called police to report him missing.
On Thursday, August 14th his body was found at the Mount Hazel Cemetery located at Lahser Road and Clarita on the city’s west side. He was found wearing a ski-mask and gloves.
When speaking on the topic of the two in custody, the Chief emphasized that these individuals had problematic backgrounds. He also confirmed that one suspect surrendered shortly after Dowls body was found and the other was arrested in the days that followed.
