Clinton Township, MI → Police are investigating a deadly head-on collision that claimed the lives of two drivers Thursday afternoon along Groesbeck Highway.
According to the Clinton Township Police Department, the crash happened at approximately 3:57 p.m. on February 12, 2026. Preliminary findings indicate a silver Dodge Caravan and a white Buick Encore collided head-on along the busy roadway.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger involved in the crash was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities described Groesbeck Highway as a five-lane road with a dedicated center turn lane and a posted speed limit of 50 mph. The roadway surface was reported to be in good condition at the time of the crash.
Investigators say it is not yet known whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
