Mount Clemens, MI – The Macomb Auto Theft Squad (MATS) has cracked down on a high-end vehicle theft ring that investigators say targeted assembly plants across Macomb County and beyond.
Authorities say over the past year, thieves struck multiple times, stealing several brand-new, high-end vehicles at once directly from manufacturing facilities. After an extensive investigation, three Detroit men are now facing major charges tied to the scheme:
› Leondre Jones, 21, Detroit
› Lemel Watley-Neely, 25, Detroit
› Jayvon Williams, 33, Detroit
All three men were arraigned in 37th District Court in Warren on Conducting a Criminal Enterprise charges on September 19, 2025.
Bond was set high across the board, reflecting the scale of the alleged thefts:
› Jones: $400,000 cash/surety with GPS steel cuff tether required upon release.
› Watley-Neely: $500,000 cash/surety with GPS steel cuff tether required upon release.
› Williams: $750,000 cash/surety with GPS steel cuff tether required upon release.
For now, the suspects remain lodged at the Macomb County Jail as the case moves forward.
All suspects are presumed innocent.
