Governor Gretchen Whitmer has said that before public announcement was made about SanDisk pulling out of the $55 Bln Michigan deal that would have been the feather in Whitmer Administrations cap, she called President Trump to inform him of the news.
She called him on July 16th to beg him to help her as she’s blown already close to $200 Mln of Michigan taxpayer funds on the project with no signed agreement from SanDisk. Instead of a big beautiful building with thousands of jobs, or the $200 Mln back, now all we have are big, ugly empty fields.
“He said, ‘tell the press, we are going to work together to get an even better deal for the state of Michigan,’ ” Whitmer said.
Don’t worry Big Gretch, Daddy Trump will step-in and fix the deal, a mess created by the Democrats.
